About
Fan opened in June 2025 on Notting Hill's Chepstow Road as London's first neo-Nikkei restaurant, bringing the Japanese-Peruvian fusion cuisine of Lima's celebrated Nikkei scene to Europe. Chef Jorge Sasaki (Japanese-Peruvian) leads the kitchen alongside Romania Parra and Santiago Wong, offering an 11-course omakase that centres on nigiri while incorporating Peruvian, Chinese and other global techniques. The Michelin Guide highlighted Fan in April 2026 as one of the most interesting new arrivals in London. À la carte options include scallops with squash butter and ceviche with coconut tiger milk. The restaurant is the Lima operation's first international outpost.
Why it's on Washoku Guide
- Michelin Guide-highlighted in 2026 — recognition that confirms Fan as one of London's most exciting restaurant openings of 2025.
- The neo-Nikkei concept brings Lima's Japanese-Peruvian culinary tradition to London for the first time, with chef Jorge Sasaki's 11-course omakase at its core.
- The kitchen fuses Japanese nigiri technique with Peruvian tiger milk ceviches and Chinese influences, producing a tasting menu unlike anything else in the city.
- London's first outpost of a Lima restaurant known in South America's most progressive culinary city — a genuine international debut.
