About
Happy Sky Bakery is a West London institution founded by Motoko McNulty, a Japanese master baker who moved from Tokyo to London and channelled a lifelong passion for bread into this much-loved artisan operation. The bakery specialises in Japanese-style breads made without additives or artificial ingredients: soft shokupan milk bread, fluffy melon pan, and the bakery's signature mochi ribbon. Motoko's hand-crafting techniques, developed through years of study in Japan, deliver a consistency of flavour and texture that has earned the bakery numerous awards. A second location has opened near Tottenham Court Road on Hanway Street, extending the bakery's reach into central London. Early arrival is recommended, as popular items often sell out.
Why it's on Washoku Guide
