About
Kanpai Classic opened in late 2024 on Wardour Street, bringing to London a refined yakiniku concept centred on A5 Grade Japanese Wagyu — the highest grading of marbled beef from Japan. Executive Chef Masatada Ogata, who brought the first Michelin-starred yakiniku to Shanghai, oversees a menu in which multiple cuts of premium Wagyu are grilled tableside over smokeless charcoal by knowledgeable servers. The signature Wagyu Yakiniku Omakase (from £98 per person) presents up to twelve courses of beef including truffle pairings, Wagyu tartare, and Wagyu sushi. The sake list features IWC Gold-awarded Masuizumi Ginjo, and the intimate Soho space seats a limited number of guests for an exclusive experience.
