About
Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House, a concept by the Chubby Group, brought Manhattan its first dedicated all-you-can-eat Japanese wagyu shabu-shabu experience when it opened at 954 2nd Avenue in Midtown East in 2024. The restaurant offers four AYCE tiers priced from $45 to $98 per person: the base tier includes American wagyu shoulder, brisket, and Kurobuta pork, while the Diamond tier unlocks Miyazaki A5 Japanese wagyu, Australian M9 wagyu cuts, seafood platters, wagyu bone marrow, and unlimited wagyu nigiri. Diners choose their broth — the sukiyaki and miso options are particularly recommended — and the meats arrive in unlimited rounds throughout the meal. A second New York location operates in Flushing, Queens. The Manhattan restaurant accommodates walk-ins and limited online bookings through Yelp, and is open seven days a week. It occupies a compact, two-floor space that fills quickly on weekends.
Why it's on Washoku Guide
  • The only AYCE Japanese wagyu shabu-shabu in Manhattan — premium A5 and M9 cuts in a hot pot format for a set price.
  • Four distinct tiers let diners choose their level of indulgence, from American wagyu at $45 to A5 Japanese wagyu at $98.
  • The sukiyaki broth is exceptional — rich enough that no dipping sauce is needed, and it elevates every cut.
  • Unlimited wagyu nigiri and bone marrow included in the higher tiers make this one of the most generous wagyu experiences in NYC.

Also has a Flushing, Queens location at 135-41 37th Ave. Walk-ins recommended; limited Yelp reservations available.
