About
RokuNana opened on Clinton Street in November 2025 as the latest venture from Ao Hospitality Group, the team behind HUPO in Long Island City, Shan, and Le Fleur Rouge in Brooklyn. The restaurant operates as two distinct experiences under one roof: a ground-floor modern sushi izakaya serving nigiri, rolls, and Japanese small plates alongside creative cocktails, and an upstairs Japanese speakeasy with an immersive atmospheric design. The dual concept was designed to offer something for every hour — a casual omakase-style dinner below and a theatrical late-night bar above. Reservations are available on Resy.
Why it's on Washoku Guide
- Dual-concept design offers a sushi izakaya and Japanese speakeasy under one Lower East Side roof.
- From the hospitality group behind acclaimed venues HUPO and Le Fleur Rouge — proven quality.
- Immersive upstairs speakeasy bar provides a theatrical late-night Japanese cocktail experience.
- Open for lunch and late-night seven days a week — one of the most flexible Japanese spots downtown.
