About
SORA represents one of the most ambitious Japanese dining concepts ever to come to New York City. Backed by Japan's publicly listed Round One Corporation, the restaurant signed a 14,430-square-foot lease at One Grand Central Place in October 2025 and subsequently an additional 20,496-square-foot space at 1370 Broadway. The concept comprises five distinct dining rooms, each curated by a different top-tier Japanese chef recruited from Japan's highest-rated establishments, alongside a Tokyo-inspired cocktail room. The scale and institutional backing signal a flagship-level experience designed to set a new standard for Japanese fine dining in America. Opening is anticipated for 2026; no confirmed dates or phone were available at time of publication.
