About
SSAW Brooklyn is an intimate kaiseki and kappo dining destination in South Williamsburg, opened in 2024 by owner Ryo Yamazaki and chef Yusuke Fukuzaki, formerly of Gouie NY. The restaurant operates under two formats: a kappo tapas à la carte menu with sake and wine bar available Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday; and a full seasonal tasting menu priced at $180 per person on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. With just 12 seats and an open kitchen, every dinner is an intimate interaction with the chef and the season's finest Japanese ingredients. The ever-changing monthly menu ensures repeat visits yield entirely new culinary narratives. Entry is via intercom in a residential building, adding to the exclusive atmosphere.
