About
Tokugawa opened in June 2023 at 79th Street and Madison Avenue, bringing a refined Japanese sushi experience to the Upper East Side. Sushi master Chef Kazuo Yoshida, with over three decades of experience including training at Nagasaki Fish Market, leads the 12-seat counter. Fish is sourced directly from Tokyo's Toyosu Market twice weekly, ensuring peak freshness. The menu spans à la carte nigiri, specialty rolls including the Tokugawa Roll (toro, sashimi beef, uni, Oscietra Gold Caviar at $95), and a chef's omakase of 10 pieces nigiri and hand roll. Diners also have access to a curated sake list. The restaurant is part of the Serafina Hospitality Group.
