About
Chef Soichi Kadoya brings more than 25 years of Japanese culinary training to his namesake restaurant on Adams Avenue, which earned a Michelin Star in 2021 and has retained it every year since. Having previously worked at Michelin-starred Sushi Tadokoro, Kadoya opened Soichi Sushi to offer his own vision of traditional omakase — seasonal, focused, and rooted in Japanese technique. The intimate dining room in University Heights fills nightly with guests who reserve weeks in advance, drawn by the chef's masterful command of nigiri and his curated sake pairings. Soichi Sushi is a testament to how a single chef's dedication can elevate a neighborhood restaurant to world-class status.
