About
Machiko Akazawa, born in Hiroshima and trained in Kobe, runs her small izakaya on Kollwitzstraße as a venue for Japanese drinking culture at the highest level. The focus is on a curated sake and shochu selection; the weekly-changing food is conceived as an accompaniment to drinks, not the other way around. Orders are possible only with food, and reservations are taken for groups of up to six. The venue shares its kitchen with events and pop-ups, keeping the program lively.
