About
Kioki represents Chef Vikram Khatri's second Japanese venture after Guppy (New Delhi), bringing Gurugram a contemporary izakaya rooted in authentic Japanese technique. Khatri trained at Sakura — the legendary Japanese restaurant at Hotel Nikko New Delhi — under Japanese master chefs, and at Kioki applies that knowledge to a robata grill-focused menu of charcoal-fired skewers, sashimi, donburi bowls and miso-glazed seafood. A key differentiator is direct sourcing from Toyosu Market in Tokyo — Japan's premier seafood market — ensuring ingredient quality rare in the Indian market. The restaurant is housed within the 32nd Avenue lifestyle complex and was received warmly by critics upon opening.
