About
45 Curtain Road is the flagship dining room of the 45 London hospitality venue, which opened in October 2025 on the site of the former Curtain/Mondrian hotel in Shoreditch. Executive chef Alex Furusawa-Cadoni brings a Japanese-Italian heritage to a concept described as 'a fusion of Iberian soul and Japanese discipline' — a chophouse format that marries Japanese precision with Mediterranean boldness. Furusawa-Cadoni previously worked at Tokimeitē Mayfair and Ginza St James's, both respected Japanese kitchens in London. The dining room can seat up to 100 as a private event space, with a glass-ceilinged Atrium extension available for intimate gatherings. OpenTable rates the restaurant in the £26–£40 per person bracket.
Why it's on Washoku Guide
- Chef Alex Furusawa-Cadoni's Japanese-Italian heritage uniquely qualifies him to bridge the 'Iberian soul and Japanese discipline' concept with genuine authority.
- Previous experience at Tokimeitē Mayfair and Ginza St James's — two of London's most respected Japanese fine-dining restaurants — grounds the kitchen in strong Japanese technique.
- The 100-seat private dining room and glass-ceilinged Atrium make 45 Curtain Road one of Shoreditch's most versatile event-dining spaces.
- Located within 45 London's broader hospitality campus — combining rooftop dining, a spa and co-working — providing a full-day destination in the heart of East London's creative quarter.
Opened October 2025; private dining and event hire available
