About
Operating since 2012 near UBC under Japanese owner Minoru Tamaru, Rajio built its reputation as Vancouver's leading destination for Osaka-style kushikatsu—crispy, panko-breaded skewers dipped in tangy sauce. After more than a decade, the restaurant concluded its kushikatsu concept in late November 2025 and relaunched as Rajio Shokudo on December 5, 2025, with an evolved menu while retaining the festive izakaya spirit. The Tamaru Shoten Group's track record with Kingyo, Suika, Raisu, and New Fuji ensures a continued commitment to authentic Japanese cuisine.
