About
Since July 2019, Shunichi and Ikue Nagamine have operated ichi いち in a charming basement near Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße in Prenzlauer Berg. Chef Shunichi, who grew up in Miyazaki in southern Japan, honed his craft in regional kappo restaurants and poultry specialty establishments before coming to Berlin. The seasonally changing six-course dinner menu (€78) and more affordable lunch sets (€20–32) reflect his home cuisine, especially the celebrated Chicken Nanban. The dining room, centered around a large wooden table, feels like being a guest in a Japanese family home.
